Washington, DC – Spartan Solutions, an infrastructure development and construction management firm, is pleased to announce Susan Borinsky has accepted a position as Spartan’s new Director of Planning Services. Ms. Borinsky will lead client infrastructure planning and development services at Spartan Solutions’ new Washington, DC headquarters. She joins Spartan Solutions as the firm continues its steady expansion of capabilities to serve existing and new clients as they plan and develop new public infrastructure projects.
Prior to joining Spartan Solutions, Ms. Borinsky served for four years as the Associate Administrator for Planning and Environment in the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) where she directed the evaluation of major transit projects seeking funding through FTA’s "New Starts" and "Small Starts" programs. She also guided the development of Federal policy and guidance for local and state transportation planning and for environmental review of FTA-funded projects.
Spartan Solutions has also appointed Eric Forbes as its new Chief of Staff, with broad responsibilities for administering Spartan’s client-satisfaction efforts and managing the day to day operations of the firm. Additionally, Eric assists with business development and monitors and reports on Executive and Legislative branch developments in the transportation sector. Eric is also the Deputy Executive Director of AIPRO, a non-profit industry trade association dedicated to maintaining and expanding the American passenger rail network through the promotion of open and fair competition in operations contracting.
Spartan Solutions recently transferred its headquarters from the New York area to its new offices at 50 F Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. The new headquarters is a short walk from Union Station and from the Capitol in Washington, DC.
